A person's true wealth is the good he or she does in the world.
-Mohammed

Introduction

Poetry. A sample of my work? I'll show it to you. Be warned that I have been giving time and effort into making these poems. So please.

My poems are reflections that are turned into literature. Thoughts of certain things and principles that are yet to be explored. As a poet, I feel it best to let my readers decide if my poetry is good enough to be called real poetry. I am but a mere child who is only lost within her own world. It is the language of the soul, and I am pouring it out into these pieces of art you see below. Reviews are to be forwarded to my forum. Look for appropriate board under Another Dream -- Frozen Sun category.

Dream

*based after watching Kingdom of Heaven*

Battles of old,
death of hundreds,
beheading and slicing mere mortals.
As the field grows hot,
bodies turn cold
with whispers of soldiers dead on
the board.
Forever haunting, forever in torment
I wake up once more
from a dream inescapable.

Waiting

I woke up one evening,
with a head throbbing mad.
Reminiscence...
Pain...
Death...
All three have come to haunt me in my
dreams.
Forever waiting,
if not for sleep,
then for life to stop its endless turn.
For only in time,
can I set my worries aside,
and close my eyes without discontent.

The Clouds Break

*one of my favorites*

And the clouds break,
And we held each other's hands.
Hoping,
that we could understand.
Unseen under my shadow,
your burden is lifted.
Praying,
our lives become... everything.

Good Night

I scarcely say we are both one,
unaware and unsure.
Unexplainable things will roll about my mind,
sweetly caressing the freezing night.
For I have seen, what was once
two.
But now there is nothing left,
except a single good night.

Ambition

*my personal favorite*

I looked out at the clear, night sky,
and dreamed longingly of what I'd become.
A poem doesn't need to rhyme
nor be long or short,
as long as you put your heart to it,
it'll come out on top.
These hands, no matter how rough,
will write sweet words on paper,
and pour out your other self whole.
My words may be short, simple and sweet,
but needless to say, I want to say more.
With this pen and paper,
I'll write you a poem,
Compose you a symphony for the years to come.
That's my ambition.

New Path

The path that didn't last,
was always and forever will be
lost.
In times of grief and sorrow,
my shadow will be your umbrella.
I'll shelter you from harm
and rain,
until we see a new path open.
Now and forever,
forever and now.

Talent

In song, your voice inspires,
In poem, your words magnify
the talent in which your heart
resides.
Always waiting,
my arms spread wide.
Your melody will collide,
with the love I have.. to satisfy.

Moonlight

Uh...
My fault...
Once again...
My heart is torn
when I saw that it wasn't here.
Here for this special night.

I was stupid to think it'll comply,
what with its numerous work
and tireless efforts.
But it isn't the time to look down.

It will come, whether expected
or not.
As long as the lights are out
and all is dark.
It will rise and shine brightly
to light your path.

I just hope it does.
If it doesn't...
Well, I'm sorry for letting
you down.

Bonds

Sorrowful bonds enter my
dream.
Forever asking for useless
emotions.
Whether or not these bonds
will last,
it is with great character
that one see through.

Father's Day

There are times when dads have too much work,
that we often don't see their faces.
We just get used to this, because we know our
dads love us.
When they come home we kiss and hug them,
appreciating their safe return.
Dads deserve a special day, just like moms
deserve Mother's Day.
So today, we dedicate this Father's Day,
to dads all around.
We hope you'll enjoy today, 'cause you're
sure to love each moment of joyous fun.
Your wife and kids give love to you,
no matter where you are today.
Maybe not here, but somewhere abroad,
or up in the heavens looking down on us all.
Be sure to remember that love is all around,
especially in the hearts of those you have touched.
Bonded, my dad and I have,
sharing the joy of victory, we both did.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Mother's Day

Today all moms deserve a special presentation,
of how much we appreciate them.
We surprise them with things we made ourselves,
often times make them shed tears.
It's great to know how much our moms mean to us,
because without mine, I wouldn't be here writing this.
I've come to enjoy my life for all its rewards and faults,
all because my mom was there to support me.
Moms are our guiding light,
no matter how old we may get.
Love is all that matters,
and we shouldn't ponder any further.
Because our moms will appreciate a simple kiss,
or a hug or an 'I LOVE YOU'.
As long as it's sincere,
and made and said with our whole heart.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

New School Year

Coming back to school,
we see new and old students.
Teachers and administrators,
friends and foes.
School wouldn't be fun or exciting,
without a flare of friends who inspire fun.
Teachers and friends alike come together,
hopefully giving you a reason to stay in school.
Subjects are just a hurdle,
something we must overcome during the school year.
But we learn to make it fun for ourselves,
and study hard to pass our tests.
I'm a teacher's pet,
there's no doubt about that.
All I do is befriend teachers,
and chat with them casually enough.
So cheers to the new school year,
I'm looking forward to your surprises!

True Friend

*dedicated to a special friend*

In life, you experience trials
that lead you astray.
During those times,
you will need a friend.
One who will listen to your problems,
who will always be there for you.

A friend who will stay beside you,
who will share your grieves.
A friend who will support you,
in absolutely anything you do.
A friend who you can share secrets with,
who will never leave your side.
In times of hardship and doubt,
I want a friend who will smile for me.
Tell me what to do,
and tell me it'll be all right.
If I had a friend like that,
I want it to be you.

I will smile back,
and cherish those memories forever.
Even if we broke apart somehow,
I want us to start again.
High school friends are friends forever,
or as they all say.
But I want it to come true,
very, very much.
So, I want to start over.
This has been on my mind for the longest
time.

How much does a polar bear weigh?
...
Enough to break the ice.
Hi, I'm Tricia.

One Shot

The guns are pointed straightforward,
Aiming directly at each other's heart.
We stand at different ends,
Confronting our own lives.
Blood continues to flow like an endless waterfall,
As wounds appear around our bodies.
I pull the trigger once,
And you end up dead on the ground.

Musical Symphony

*one of my favorites*

Waking up to the melody,
The sweet song of time forgotten.
Soothing sounds that fill my soul,
Bringing me to the ends of time.
Through strings, violin and cello.
Through wind, flute and oboe.
Through brass, trombone and French horn.
Through percussion, bongos and maracas.
Ruling it all is the piano,
Sweet and everlasting.
An orchestra built for the body,
Mind and soul.
Let it now begin,
To replenish your thirst for
A musical symphony.

Ascent

*an opposite poem of DT's 'Descent'*

She was always praised
She felt on top of the world
But then they found
A long ladder toward the skies
And let her up some more.

Priceless

*a prayer-poem created for CL exam*

Almighty Father, God of power and might,
I thank You so for what You made of me -
for making me unique, PRICELESS.
For You alone give me the strength and power,
To mold me into what You see before You.
Because of that, I will forever be in Your name.
Alleluia, Alleluia. Amen.

Math Session

*a poem created for Math class*

Numbers and letters
jumbled up with some signs.
These put together
can be graphed by a line.

Given a problem,
solve it, I'll try.
Given the formulas,
I'll solve for the value of X and Y.

Function or not,
Either way, a relation.
Complete or not,
Either way, an equation.

Time to turn the page,
time for a new lesson.
Each day until school ends,
I'll look forward to our Math Session.

Art In Me

*a poem created for English Writing Task*

Imagine the feeling of a hand on your shoulder,
The fresh scent of honey filling the air.
The sound of bongos beating rhythmical tunes,
And the sight of the morning sun at its peak.

The sweet taste of extra cheese on pizza,
Is all that I crave.
A person like that is exactly who I am,
My friendliness and optimism is what you see in me.

Going about each day,
Is like a stroll in the park.
Opening and closing like a broken door,
My heart is free for all to enter.

Life, for me, brings new hope.
And despite all else, becomes my umbrella.
Under the heavy downpour,
I'll smile widely to brighten up your day.

Just Another Night

*one of my favorites*

Forever engrossed in the vast expanse,
that which is a million stars shine down upon us.
Lying under this warm sight,
a little boy came upon the earth.
And it was in that moment,
that the world stayed still.

Forever lost under this sky,
the years passed, its face changing constantly.
Until the time we come to see,
these same bright stars that survived time and space.
The boy grew up, and his life was claimed,
by the God whose will was then fulfilled.

Today, our kind looks up at these stars,
pondering merely on their intricate designs.
But what makes the stars so perfect to gaze upon?
To admire and sink deeper in meaning?
Here we are, just another night,
of star gazing to our heart's delight.

This Feeling

Love is forever blooming,
untamed in all senses of the world.
In all things, the heart stops for a moment
- for this feeling.
The end of days, a new beginning,
set forth to change.
I am the spirit, you are the receiver,
this thing called love henceforth begins.

Day's Light

In pouring rain, lightning.
My soul seeks the day's light.
Isolated, I am but a child -
trapped in cold and hangovers.
My state, a weary maze,
My mind, a blank crypt.
Blink, my eyes have done,
and day has broken into a beautiful glory.

Insufferable Pain

Instilled by silence,
my worrisome heart.
Forever enslaved, never free to wonder
locked away inside.
In my solitude,
a spark of pride.
Hope dawns into morning,
released from insufferable pain.

Two Worlds

*poem from School Hazards RP*

In winter, two worlds collide
two lives once shattered by loss and death.
Two personalities, worlds apart,
clash into this one winter morning.
These two beings, different in every way,
similar in every other way, meet.
In time, these two will bring upon us
the true meaning of life and its losses.
Collaboration, in song and in spirit,
two people, each other's final gift.

The Great Spirit

*one of my favorites*

Purposely driven, into so many things,
My soul yearns for matters beyond human limits.
My pride, battered up and wounded,
My strength, lost and scattered.
These hardships bring pain and suffering unto me,
True underlying weaknesses crawl to the surface.
My imagination, a withering strand of light
Beaten to a pulp, nothing more than air.

Eaten alive, my heart endures,
Taken apart, my body readily accepts.
Yet my soul is still there,
Thrilled and excited.
Waiting for its chance to grow,
Grow again to rule thee.
I am but a shell, but a shell like no other,
For it is in me that the great spirit resides.

My soul proclaims this presence,
and receives it wholeheartedly.
Slowly I return to myself,
Complete and definitely whole.

Fair Admiration

Versatile and perfect,
This man concedes to be.
My love, the one and only,
The sole David Thewlis in this world.
My pen is ready to write,
jot down a poem such as this.
Again and again, I'll write poetry,
and from there just wait and see.

This poem pays tribute, clear and concise,
To one such as David, the man who stole my heart.
Words you see here,
Misinterpreted, they sometimes are.
Tonight my pen is my lifeline,
Writing endlessly 'til it runs out.
Tonight my spirit goes with you,
From here to kingdom come.

Sweet David, my fair admiration,
Your voice echoes through my ears.
In truth, it renders longing desires,
Unseen futures for both you and I.

Welcome

*dedicated to my nephew*

On July twenty-eighth,
a baby was born.
Cherished and loved,
Innocent and handsome.

Named Tristan Luis,
this baby changed lives.
Gave new hope to his family,
New entertainment to his relatives.

Hugs and kisses,
We give this adorable child.
Sleeping all day,
And crying by night.

Loved by all,
A blessing from God.
Dear Tristan Luis,
Welcome to our humble family.

Return, Dear Remus

*dedicated to Remus Lupin from Harry Potter*

Return, dear Remus,
To what you once were.
From the vicious wolf
You have sadly become.

Once a month,
under the full moon.
Retreat to the Willow,
Forward to the Shack.

Enslaved by this curse,
Forever a shunned creature.
Remus, pity I fell,
For you and yourself.

Addiction

Different from others,
less than perfect.
Even still, this feeling remains
Only for the love and addiction to it.
Constantly airing,
Constantly addicting.
Forever into this joy,
No escape from this new world.
In sudden raindrops,
Tearful confessions.
From every genre,
a new series emerges.
From then on,
There's no end to what's fantasy.

Bird

*one of my favorites*

If I were to die and live again,
I'd do it as a bird.
Free to the skies everlasting,
Never worried of what happens next.
Singing songs for kicks,
That is what I'll do.
A bird is free to soar
Until its wings expire.

A World of Fantasy

The fact of underlying truth,
Memories in the pages of the book.
First breath drawn,
Enter a world of new.
Inside sweet dispositions,
Horrific designs and images.
Altering what's real to what's not
Forever instilled by confusion.

Beneath the reality,
A world of fantasy.
Unturned futures,
Drain all into nothingness.

Arrival

*dedicated to my grandparent's arrival*

Unsteady dreams and promises,
Fulfilled each other year.
Time flies to the point of arrival,
Opening the doors.

Steel like jammed hinges,
Firm like granite.
One family brought together
All for one arrival.
All in good splendor,
Only waiting for the screeching tires.

Journey across cottons,
Changing the time.
Waiting forever,
Just until we see you arrive.

Unusual

*dedicated to my 2nd year HS CL teacher*

Listening to you
with talk about cults.
Musical inclines
Too far for me to grasp.

New friendship established,
New similarities met.
When first I laid eyes on you
You became a good friend.

Unusual methods
Unusual encounters.
We chat so freely it feels
We've known each other for so long.
So long in fact,
We seem related somehow.

Problems arise around us
Topics compiled.
Discussing them all
We solve each one.
That's an unusual relation
But unusual is just me.

Short Term

*dedicated to my friend Richard*

Short term friendships,
And I met you.
This one day occasion
Turned out to be great.

Cheers to you, Richard
You're a nice guy.
Hope we meet again
Sooner than later.

Ten Years

*dedicated to the PYC choir*

Ten years passed, it seemed
Since the first meeting.
A youth group formed from this
Surpassing countless joyous fun.
The PYC, with members old and new,
Come together in splendor and bliss.
For all the while they shared,
memories to behold.

From past to present,
good tiding grew immensely.
Sweet joking around,
Just hanging out.
The parish, it seemed,
Brought out a fine choir.
Melodious, they seem
For staying together this long.

New issues and friendships,
This group had to establish.
Getting this far,
Guided by a mystifying hand.
God grant thee PYC
More years to grow in spirit.
Friends old and new,
Converse just 'cause it's fun.
A great thing it is
To be part of this group.

My third home, the PYC, I thank thee,
For giving me good and wonderful memories.

Happy Birthday

Special days like this come once a year
Where presents come large and small.
Different people assemble just for you,
to celebrate your birthday.
Despite such calamities that may occur,
pray well for a solemn celebration.
Expecting good weather and a delicious feast,
You thank God for your presence today.
To share yourself with close relatives,
Is indeed the greatest of all gifts.
So enjoy this day of joy and laughter,
For it is a day that you feel most blessed.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Merry Christmas

That season is around the corner once again,
With yuletide and good cheer.
Get together in one house,
All for one special event.
The child Jesus was born on this day,
Purely of giving and receiving.
The thought of togetherness,
between our happy family,
Is the best there ever was.
A heap load of cheers and
blessings on all mankind,
To celebrate Christmas Day.
Let the spirit of Jesus Christ
Lead us all towards the light.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Who Am I?

It is I, it is I
But am I really?
A raindrop falls,
Falls heavily to the ground.

Who am I,
Enslaved in shrewd excuses
Alas, I cry
Weep in insecurity.

Am I me, who I am?
Unlike any other.
Today, life in this day
Scatters to the ground.

Sent up in stars
My soul, playing mindless games.
Until it ends,
Ends up making me up again.

Happy 80th Birthday Gramps

Special days like this come once a year
Where presents come large and small.
Different people assemble just for you,
to celebrate your birthday.
Despite such calamities that may occur,
pray well for a solemn celebration.
Expecting good weather and a delicious feast,
You thank God for your presence today.
To share yourself with close relatives,
Is indeed the greatest of all gifts.
So enjoy this day of joy and laughter,
For it is a day that you feel most blessed.

Grandpa celebrates his 80th birthday today
To which we all shout with cheer.
For many years he's worked hard
To get where he is today.
For us, Grandpa, you brought endless laughter,
Too many a time, too many of them good.
Thank you for everything and Happy Birthday!

Close Friends

*dedicated to my 5th grade Computer teacher*

For years, you and I have grown close,
As teacher and student, now as close friends.
After so many text messages,
We're finally here.

Books and music, both of us shared,
Most of them common, others so farfetched.
The fact remains, with us still in contact,
Many experiences, many visits long enjoyed.

Good times and good memories for you and I both,
We who shared so much.
An honor, it's been,
Just to have known you.

Here's a heap load of cheers,
For time and time again.
Our friendship remains,
Deep down in my heart.

A Poet

*one of my favorites*

A poet, their pen hovers over,
Ideas race about, words formulating.
Set down to write sweet words,
Words of inspiration and meaning.
Creative as they may be,
Very few fully understand.
I am one of those poets,
Writing endless pages of poetry.

Migraines and Headaches

A migraine brought forth,
By stress and too much thought.
Hangovers surround me,
Losing me in simple disposition.

As I lay myself down,
trying much to focus myself.
As I write this,
my head pleads me to stop.

I dare not think more than I should,
But relax so that I may rest easy.
I write this final verse,
In hope of a migraine soon to flee.

Only In Dreams

*one of my favorites*

Only in dreams, we take control,
Take everything into our hands.
Unimaginable fantasies,
Formulated in our heads.

In spite of all impossibility,
Hope dawns into its peak.
Only in dreams do we believe,
Spread our wings and take flight.

Only in dreams we'd risk everything,
All to please ourselves.
For in dreams there's anything,
Anything but reality.

Happy New Year

Loud firecrackers and firework displays,
To celebrate a new year.
Prosperous as it sounds,
We all celebrate with cheer.
A family gathering,
With ham and hot chocolate.
Coins in your pocket,
All for good luck.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Missing You

*dedicated to my godfather living abroad*

It's been how many days, weeks,
and eventually years.
You and I last saw each other's face,
Oh so long ago.
That last encounter, we hugged each other,
Before I went and boarded that plane.
It was the saddest moment,
The upset of my 2004 vacation.
Until now, I've been mising you,
Counting the days until we board that plane again.
I await in LAX,
When you find me and my family amongst the crowd.

Right here, right now, I'm praying,
Wishing for your good health and fortune.
More than you'll ever know.
My deepest desire is evident,
That much is so.
At this time and moment, I want to see you once more.

Departure

*dedicated to my grandparents' departure*

These few weeks that you've spent with us,
Is again, one of the most memorable ones to date.
The time has coem to bid you adieus,
Farewell until the next visit.
We shall see you soon enough,
Much is counted on that.

Grandpa and Grandma, despite your age,
You've always managed to come back home to us.
May your departure from the Philippines,
Be smooth and safe for you both.
There will never be anyone who'll replace you,
At least, not in my book.
For me, you both will always be,
A partnership worth a million days.

Nothing by prayers, you'll hear from me,
When I chat with you again via email.
Until that time we ourselves depart,
To visit your most humble abode.

Special Thanks

*dedicated to my grandfather's friend, Patricia*

To my grandfather's friend, Patricia,
I send you my deepest thanks.
For it was you who gave me a new friend,
And for that I owe you my special thanks.

When my grandfather arrived here,
He presented me thsi little cute penguin.
He told me the tale behind it,
And I received it with care.
So from my heart to yours,
I give you my utmost thank you.

Linux and I thank you,
More than you'll ever know.
Because were it not for you,
I would not have met my newfound friend Linux.
I look forward to meeting you,
With my grandfather, soon enough.

Thank You

*dedicated to my cousins and nephew*

Personally, I thank you all,
For spending your time with us.
But now that you're moving again,
Let me just say a few words.

It's been such a pleasure,
Day after day.
Seeing Tristan and all his antics,
and spending time with the family.

Now that you're leaving,
I'm left in despair.
But I won't ever forget,
All that we've shared.

So thank you for your company,
It was great to have you here.
We'll see you again,
That much is certain.

My Best Friend

*obviously dedicated to my best friend, Dai*

After countless efforts of talking to you,
You still didn't respond.
Many times I've tried,
All of them failed.
This world you secluded yourself in,
Is something I need not see.
Your heart turned cold,
Brought me to rare tears.

Denial became your ally,
Hope became mind.
An endless battle rose from this,
Mano e mano.
All I wanted, all I needed,
Was a person who saw the real me.
Thought not many people know me,
I remain a mystery.

My eyes and my soul,
Both have locked on.
Declared you my sole best friend,
My soul mate, my everything.
Precious as you are,
My feelings reign true.
You stole my heart,
Since the day we first met.
And through the years, we found out,
Exactly what was to come.

I gave you my time and compassion,
Something I do not do.
I did it because I love you,
As my only best friend.
Never will I accept another,
All because I found myself INSIDE of you.
Our fate was decided long ago,
Our paths cross everyday.
Your decision determines it,
Whether or not we stay together good pals.

My ways have changed,
I confess to you now.
I've always loved you,
Without any doubt.
This time, this place, I embrace you,
My one true soul mate, my best friend.

Hope You're Doing Fine

*dedicated to my grandmother in Belgium*

Because I'm busy and tired,
I'm here to write a short but efficient poem.
I give you fair greetings, my dear grandmother,
In Belgium, I hope you're doing fine.
My blessings, I give to you,
With more than enough cheers.

As you read on you'll realize,
That I, Tricia, am a poet.
I've written poems on countless occasions,
Most of them just fantastic.
The time we've spent was unforgettable,
Quite exciting and a pleasure.

It's great to know you're doing fine,
For I pray for your good health.
I hope that in time,
I myself will visit Belgium, your abode.
And when I do, I'm sure to say
that I will never forget.
Okay.. it's not really short,
But a poem, nonetheless.

Get Better Soon

*dedicated to my grandfather in the hospital*

I've been doing countless things,
And most of them just for fun.
But now I turn my head,
In attention to you.

You've been hospitalized,
And here I regret.
You've been away for so long,
I don't know what to say.
But perhaps a simple hello,
Or get better soon.

Although you're not home,
You still give us concern.
Please regain your own strength,
And you'll come right back home.

Thank you for worrying,
But that's now our job for you.
So I wish you the best,
Only the best wishes for you.
So get better soon, grandfather.

Lasting Memories

*dedicated to my 2-11 class*

Ten months,
Five days a week.
Nine hours a day,
At least six subjects per hour.

In this time, of school year '05 - '06.
I was part of the 2-11 class.
A sophomore batch,
Yellow as our color.

With many joys and sorrows,
I myself felt.
Through months of work and play,
Time has come to show our worth.
In song, we overcame all odds,
Placing first in the Junior Division Songfest.

The tightest of bonds,
We endured and survived.
As one class with Sir Teng,
In the name of the Lord.
Moments to share,
All will be remembered.

Captured in photos,
Lasting memories a hundredfold.
Thank you all,
We'll see each other again.
We all rock!
From my heart to you all,
Tricia, your 'key master'.

Antics Onboard

*dedicated to my bus mates*

Most people unknown,
But brought all together.
Choosing definite seats,
Until the end of the school year.

Conversing day by day,
Trusted soon after.
Good friends were produced,
With much laughs and fun.

A school bus,
Like all other buses.
Noise and conversation,
Rotating about.

With bus mates like mine,
All just real crazy.
But above all else,
All really cool.

Better Days

*one of my favorites*

At the end of the day,
You come home tired and aching.
Anticipating some forum replies,
And chat mates online.
As an online role-player,
I do what I can.
Despite different time zones,
I try to keep awake.
A lot have praised me,
Inspired by my internalization.
My ideas bring out exciting role-plays,
Each one of them just exhilarating to type.
Sleepless or hardly any sleep,
My hours of activeness in the day.
Late at night and straight on 'til morning,
My eyes wide awake.
These are the yawns,
These are the joys.
These are the times
Of my better days.

True Credit

*dedicated to my 2nd year HS Homeroom/Math teacher*

A teacher of Math,
Sir Agustin 'Teng' Alvarez Jr.
For almost 7 years,
An educator of MCHS.
But more importantly,
The homeroom teacher of 2-11.

After months of being together,
The end is nearing for us.
All those months,
We shared so much.
From day one to this present day,
You showed us something worthwhile -
Your singing voice.

Gracing us with your presence,
Shared our laughter and joys.
But just as well,
Shared our hardship and trials.
As our father figure,
You gave us firm guidance.

So here's to you,
Our dear Sir Teng.
You've brought us such memories,
Both good and bad.
That indeed deserves true credit.

Utmost Support

*dedicated to my 2nd year HS CL teacher*

Religious as he is,
Sir Alvin Bolaños.
He's more than what he seems,
So much more.
Caring and courteous,
this man truly is.
His talks, his lectures,
All of them in depth.

Outside in the corridors,
We idly chat.
Whether it be business
Or just senseless conversation.

Now you've been assigned,
To take care of us.
So I give to you now,
My utmost support.

Biology Report

*dedicated to my 2nd year HS Biology teacher*

A biology teacher,
Mrs. Marianne Delfin.
With fun games all around,
With prizes for all.
Discussing things
Complicated and interesting.
An overpowering rule,
All under one hand or two.

In almost a second,
Transformed into a riot.
A hidden spark of humor,
Inside and cleverly hidden.

Chatting so freely,
Although you're so busy.
But it's great to be under you,
And with that I end my report.
My special biology report.

History Lesson

*dedicated to my 2nd year HS Asian History teacher*

Great with speaking,
Mrs. Marfel Flores.
A Social Studies educator,
A new teacher at MCHS.

With so much to say,
Time just runs out.
But despite all that,
Each lesson just fruitful.

From geography to history,
All related to our country.
Stressing information,
Telling some jokes.

Understanding and firm,
You turned out to be.
So now it's time to sit down,
In time for a history lesson.

Theatrical Advices

*dedicated to my 2nd year HS English teacher*

With all different moods,
Mrs. Vilma 'Vem' Reyes.
Theater specialist,
A teacher of English.
With advice so rich,
There can be no other.

As we set up our plays,
There can never be much doubt.
As experience came to you,
Ours just beginning to settle in.

When there were millions of chances,
Opportunities galore.
With workshops to take,
All were helped.

Theatrical advices,
from you, my English teacher.
When play dates arrive,
It'll be sure to come out great.

Simply A Smile

*dedicated to my 2nd year HS Filipino teacher*

In the complicated world of literature,
Florante and Laura arose.
Mrs. Anna Lorraine Tamayo,
A Filipino teacher.

Cases where you're involved,
Only smiles across my face.
Funny and simple,
That's how you are.

Along the corridors,
A courteous greeting.
Faint but still there,
Simply a smile.

Talk About Auras

*dedicated to my 2nd year HS YLC/THE teacher*

A sophomore YLC,
As well as a THE teacher.
Burdened by offences,
Mrs. Glenda Villanueva.

Whether in the YLC office,
Or even in the Cooking Room.
Wherever it may be,
She will be on time.

With me, you spoke so freely,
Talking to me of things beyond school.
With talk about auras,
I seemed somewhat pleased.

And coming from you,
Means something beyond my petty grasp.
You opened my eyes
Into the bright sunrise.

Technical Inspiration

*dedicated to my 2nd year HS Computer teacher*

My fascination,
In the world of computers.
Around the campus,
There's Ms. Marivic Espiritu.
Computer is her subject,
Taught only to sophomores.

In the cold of everything,
With the aircon turned on.
Sitting in front of a monitor,
Accessing different programs.

Taught how to use them,
Techniques much acquired.
As a computer maniac,
I take all our activities to heart.
And because of you,
I've been sparked with technical inspiration.

Notes on the Scale

*dedicated to my 2nd year HS Music teacher*

Basic sounds turned music,
Notes on the scale.
Ms. Ma. Luisa Oaña,
A Music teacher.
For the first two school years,
With some work and fun.

Sounding the right scales,
Reading sheet music.
Real friendly and sweet,
Encouraging above all.

Singing in tune,
With a passion for music.
After much motivation from you,
We came out on top.
So for that, I thank you.

Just for Fun

*dedicated to my 2nd year HS PE teacher*

Gone for so long,
And now you've come back.
Mrs. Lucienne 'Luchi' Jardinero,
A PE teacher.

Just for fun,
Let's play a good game.
Something with adrenalin,
And could involve us all.

With nothing to do,
Just lounging about.
Your humor and sarcasm,
Has been truly missed.
So just for fun,
Let's all laugh in good company.

Simply Redundant

*dedicated to my 2nd year HS Guidance counselor*

Guidance class each Monday,
Ms. Pamela 'Pam' Laudiangco.
During prayer, we'd say,
'Please guide us in our Guidance class today.'

Weird as it sounds,
It makes some sense.
But in reality,
It's simply redundant.

A period of modules,
Mostly on social issues.
Spent mostly telling jokes,
Sharing good laughs.

With you, at least just a little
Conversation is all everyone needs.
This poem I wrote for you,
Is done and ready to be read.
And again I say, simply redundant.

Special People

*one of my favorites*

In all the years I've spent,
Waking up early and going to school.
In the ten months and five days a week,
I've had both laughs and tears.

Aside from fellow classmates,
Or the janitors and the like.
A group of individuals -
Yes, who are our teachers.

Teachers or administrators,
All our educators.
Each one overburdened,
But all driven to continue.

With smiles on our faces,
We greet them with courtesy.
Bringing these special people,
A smile of their own.

With countless memories,
Each one giving us more hope.
You've all touched my heart so deeply,
More than you'll ever know.

All my teachers,
You've inspired me so much.
I may not have the most glamorous gift,
Or even the most cool-looking.

But in all honesty and sincerity,
My heart goes to you all.
Because of each one of you,
I have loved every moment in school.

A Head Full of Trivia

*dedicated to my 2nd year HS Science Club moderator*

The last periods of the Wednesdays,
Club time - mine being Science.
A moderator such as ours,
Mr. Dante De Leon.
A chemistry teacher,
Who's got a head full of trivia.

You wow us with your knowledge,
Give us facts and the like.
Despite your weird ways and hustling about,
We forgive and respect you.

Leaving us most of the time,
But with us every other time.
I enjoy our chats and fond discussions,
Whether orderly seated or not.

That movie 'Flight of Dragons',
Was a movie truly worth watching.
I amongst the rest daresay enjoyed it,
And that's giving you my feedback.
Science seems so large in this world,
That it's great having you teach one of its many subjects.

Brought Us Together

*dedicated to my friends and family*

Into this world we were brought into,
Into the arms of our moms and dad.
As we grow up, we found this new feeling,
Of kissing, hugging and caring.

Not knowing what it is,
We begin to do what the feeling asked us to do.
We start kissing their cheeks and hugging them tightly,
And care for them a hundredfold.
And as days go by,
We notice more people surrounding us.

This same feeling that we found,
We gave to all of them.
It wasn't long,
Until we received this feeling back.

This so-called feeling of love,
Was what brought us here together.
With family and friends,
Love brought us together.

Imperfect Existence

*poem for School Hazards RP*

Ever since time began,
I was blessed a prodigy.
A master of all my crafts,
All in perfect synchrony.

But since you met me,
You befriended me.
After that first encounter,
Things just went insane.

We met my old rival Ryu,
Who threatened to kill you.
We came across a psycho Sage,
Who loved me and hated you.

This wild ride from a quintet rock band,
To roommates to dance partners.
To lead characters in the musical,
Opposite leads in the play.

All this started from a poem,
And developed into a bond.
My photographic memory,
Drew an image you yourself couldn't imagine.

Despite what other people say,
I'm not a lucky guy.
I'm just a simple being,
One with an imperfect existence.

A High Five

*dedicated to my 1st year HS CL teacher*

A CL teacher with many talents,
Sir Amado 'Jhun' Castro Jr.
An excellent basketball player,
And a rocking vocalist.

With talents on the guitar,
Singing songs for campus.
A teacher teaching about religion,
Sliding across the platform.

On his way to classes,
With stuff under his arm.
Smiling along the way,
Just having some fun.

As I see you passing by,
I lift up my hand and smile.
When we get close enough,
We give each one a high five.

Common Interests

*dedicated to my 1st year HS Homeroom/English teacher*

A homeroom of 1-7,
Just one year ago.
An English teacher so fluent,
Ms. Patrixia 'Trix' Grey.

When we got to know one another,
We found common interests.
In books and in music,
Dan Brown and Jars of Clay.

Each time we see each other,
There's talk of JoC.
Greeting and chatting,
An update on our lives.

Walking so briskly,
I cannot catch up.
So just calling out your name,
Is all I can do.

Happy 82nd Birthday Gramma

Special days like this come once a year
Where presents come large and small.
Different people assemble just for you,
to celebrate your birthday.
Despite such calamities that may occur,
pray well for a solemn celebration.
Expecting good weather and a delicious feast,
You thank God for your presence today.
To share yourself with close relatives,
Is indeed the greatest of all gifts.
So enjoy this day of joy and laughter,
For it is a day that you feel most blessed.

Grandma turns 82 this day,
The start of the month of March.
Fill-Ins or Crosswords,
She solves them all.
Word Factory, Upwords and Mahjong,
All her specialty games.
Because of you, we enjoy so much,
And end up laughing it through.
Thank you for everything and Happy Birthday!

Without You

*a tribute to our dearly departed (Great)Uncle Art*

The death of a loved one,
Who brought smiles to all.
A grandfather, an uncle, father and husband,
So many in one man.
It was always great to know,
That he always smiled.
Those days of fun on the golf course,
Spending money just for us.

All those times, I enjoyed,
Each one of our adventures.
Now that you're gone,
All mourn in tears.
Now here without you,
We all pray for your soul.
Rest in peace, my grandfather Arturo.
My love, I know,
Will stay with you forever.

Unforgotten Presence

A simple, special feeling,
Made known to me just recently.
Each time we chatted,
There was always some laughter and depression.
This feeling, I've felt,
Gave me something new to ponder on.

It might've been just a dream,
You and I strolling side by side.
Those times we've shared seemed all a fantasy,
But an unforgotten presence all the same.
Even now I wonder if you're real,
Or just my mind playing games.

Your soothing voice,
Your intrigued expression.
Your open-mindedness,
Your cheerful nature.
That smile always made me warm,
Those jokes I all rode on until it died out.

Lying in bed late at night,
Darkness ruling that enclosure.
My eyes shut tight,
My mind focused on you.
Indeed, you've placed yourself,
Into my memory for all eternity.

Undying Memories

*dedicated to my friend Miko Awayan*

At first I knew you from back then,
But we never really were close friends.
So during the school year,
You and I were just classmates.

Idiotic as it may seem,
The months just added on by.
Until it came to a certain point,
That we began conversation.

And from then on,
I regarded you as a FRIEND.
As a part of our big happy family,
You were a standout in the crowd.

By the end of things I'm glad for everything,
One of them was seeing you again.
Your comical nature,
And your friendly smile.

I'm gonna miss you, mi amigo,
But we'll see each other again.
Remember this, though:
You'll always be a close friend, Miko.
All of these undying memories,
Will forever be in my heart.
God bless and take care,
A 'cheers' from your friend Tricia.

Miracles

*dedicated to my sick grandmother*

After seeing you so recently,
You end up getting real sick.
All of us are constantly praying,
Hoping you'll get better.

Coming to see your face,
After having so much to do.
Going through all this,
Just to see you.
So be strong and remember well,
That we are but one family in God's eyes.

You have touched us all,
With all the memories you've instilled.
My only regret, though,
Is that nobody but God can create miracles.
But there's always a chance to see one,
When all of us firmly wish for it so.

Strive to live a bit longer,
For us and for yourself.
Always be reminded,
That you are never alone in this world.
But if the time came for you to go,
Then I will forever pray for your eternal rest.
That God will protect you,
Until we reunite again in His Kingdom.

Crazy Fun

*dedicated to my cousins in the US*

Every time I come visit,
We'd always play around.
Kimee and JonJon,
Two jovial kids growing up.

Always smiling,
When we're around.
Happily wanting for playmates,
To be with all the time.

All these times we spend together,
Each moment fondly treasured.
A gift in the form of a big, green bear,
My thank you for our crazy fun.

Guardian Angel

*a tribute to our dearly departed Grandma Rose*

That day when you left us,
I was there to see you go.
Your last breath until you went up,
My tears continued to fall.

A simple woman,
Loved by all you've touched.
Who called you a mother, an aunt,
A grandmother, wife and friend.

Now in heaven,
You meet God the Creator.
Your final resting place,
One where we all yearn to be.

You've inspired us all,
To become a better person.
To live each day,
As if it were our very last.

Our prayers will continue,
But now it's time for you to do the same.
Watch over each one of us,
Just as any guardian angel would.

Help us through life,
Dear Grandma Rose.
Take my love and prayers,
Up into heaven with you.

Saying Goodbye

*dedicated to my godfather's departure for San Diego*

After the burial,
And some time of fun,
We stand on opposite ground,
As you head back to San Diego.

Hard as it is,
Even knowing we'll still be in touch.
But as it stands,
I will truly miss you.

Even words cannot describe it -
My emotions for you.
It is and will always be,
An upset to leave you.

Saying goodbye,
Just until we see each other again.
Forever reminded,
That you are loved by me.

Bye for now,
My beloved godfather.
I will always love you,
And from now on will keep in close touch.

Today on Mother's Day

When days like this come -
Days of honoring a special person.
Even for a moment of silence,
We thank that person today.
For everything handed down to us,
From knowledge to etiquette.
Our mothers, whether amongst us,
Or smiling down on us.
Even those who aren't our mothers,
Who still treat us like our own.

Each have given a special gift,
One that only you can harness.
Be thankful to your mothers, grandmothers,
Great grandmothers, godmothers and aunts.
All of them, we give thanks to,
For always supporting us as we grew up.
For molding us into what we are,
For giving us the independence to say what we do.
For being proud of our achievements,
Big and small alike.
For staying by us in our grieving times,
In failure and loss alike.

But most of all,
For believing in us to succeed.
To succeed in everything we strive for,
No matter how impossible.
So today on Mother's day we thank you all,
For bringing us to where we are now.

Favorites

*dedicated to my grandfather's departure for San Diego*

I've noticed time and time again,
Whenever we'd all get together.
Our hugs always felt so caressing,
All so unique.
Each one of those times,
You'd make me feel like your favorite grandchild.
Whether that's true or not,
I'm thankful you've always been a part of my life.
That you're worth a million hugs.
Loving you always,
No matter how far apart we are.

Today on Father's Day

Despite the constant trials we face,
We realize that our fathers are always there.
Along with our grandfathers,
Great grandfathers, godfathers and uncles.
To all we give proud recognition,
For the support that's never died.
For their utmost concern,
And cherished day-to-day lessons.

Whether they're home or not,
Or looking down on us from above.
Our fathers mean so much to us,
In ways more than one.

Because of them,
We grew in a lot of ways.
Both body and soul,
All thanks to their presence.
With all their knowledge,
With tools accompanying that.

So today on Father's Day,
We give you our handcrafted gratitude.
Teaching us valuable lessons,
Both in life an its resources.

All this, a worthwhile reason,
Enough for three special words.
I LOVE YOU,
With all added sincerity and gratitude.
From my heart to yours,
Happy happy birthday!

To see you eventually walk and talk,
And things besides that.
Happy birthday,
A very happy birthday to you!

Fellow Admiration

Various accents,
Laid out for the big screen.
Defining attributes,
A look younger than age.
Roles truly suited,
For the famous Alan Rickman.

Any kind of character,
His portrayal over the bar.
A deep voice,
Soon becomes adorable.
A stunning British actor,
One of the best in his field.

Multi-talented,
This man turned out to be.
Sweet Alan, my fellow admiration,
The uniqueness of your being.
A fan I've become,
So called a Rickmanist.

A Bateria of 22

A bateria of 22,
A club dedicated to percussions.
Samba, Congo Bop,
Seven instruments being played.
Loud, Proud and Not Allowed,
So the motto goes.
Auditions were held,
With many seeking entrance.
One of the lucky,
I've really turned out to be.

Gathered as one,
Under one drum and whistle.
Playing together,
Even while walking.

Loud, we play proudly,
In many places we're not allowed.
Disruption is our sweet melody,
Rumbles to end our sessions.
With the Surdos and Snares,
Rokars and Cowbells.
Pesky Tamborims,
All hard to play.

In All Simplicity

*dedicated to my 3rd year HS CL teacher (1)*

Spent too much time thinking,
Waiting until just the last minute.
Having spent the last two days,
Playing games and using MS Excel.

But now, in all simplicity,
A work of art broke through.
Sir James Laxa,
Having been my CL teacher.
Despite that brief period,
You and I have grown close.
Still a long way from Teacher's Day,
So this poem, I dedicate to you.

Since you'll be in China,
By the time that day comes along.
I'm giving this early,
Something special just for you.
Consider this my farewell present,
Since I couldn't think of anything else.

This is what I'm best at,
Writing poetry for others.
It just makes my day,
To see them smile.
So I hope you like this,
And I'll talk to you soon.

Flying off on an airplane,
Having done so for many years.
When my dad's at home,
He's usually busy tinkering with electronics.
Loves to eat,
Almost any food the world over.
Despite all his jokes,
He's one with a warm, warm heart.
I LOVE YOU so dearly,
More so on your special day.
From my heart to yours,
Happy, happy birthday!

*[Le stelle nel cielo non lucidano luminoso quanto VOI,
Per voi sono il più grandi di loro tutti.]
Another year older,
But just as loveable as ever.
Spending days in cheer,
Celebrating the whole week long.
Greetings all around,
Ending with a big party.
With gathered guests treasured and such,
The warmth of family, friends and God.
Cheers on your birthday,
From my heart to yours.

Happy Birthday Yaya Tessie

For many years,
You've been a great helper.
Spending a lot of time and effort,
On taking care of five kids.
Now a senior citizen,
All kids grown-up.
Looking back on all these,
Were all just fond memories.
Thank you for everything,
Until this present day.
Have a great day,
Because it's your birthday!
Happy, happy,
Happy birthday!

Grazie!

For life, and everything else,
I thank you sincerely.
Although the world may not be as perfect,

It surely was when I was inside of you.
Your unconditional love and time were spent,
Just for my growth.
After nearly 16 years,
You’ve continued loving and supporting me.
Strangely ending up wearing the same colored shirt,
And just become surprised every time.
When difficult Math assignments came along,
You were the 'wiz' to help me solve them all.
Thank you for the years of love and comfort,
With accompanying kisses and hugs.
Thank you so for everything,
*[Grazie, generare!]

*Thank you, mother!

Hoppie Bunny

*a limerick*

Hoppie Bunny, just hopping around
'Hoppity-hop' until it's not found
A wind-up toy, all furry and white
It's just really a funny site
So wind it up and set it on the ground.

That Style

*dedicated to my 3rd year HS Homeroom/Chemistry teacher*

Teaching Chemistry,
Sir Dante de Leon.
Full of fun and full of laughs,
An awesome homeroom teacher of 3-1.

A cook and a handyman,
A simple life with his wife.
Owns a red car named Rusty,
Who we all know and love.
A disciplinarian when havoc runs loose,
A joker, always messing around.

Best buds with Sir Pags,
With countless stories to tell.
Many useful trivia,
This teacher can share.

Spent almost 10 months now,
Ever since that first day.
Enjoying each day since then,
With the memories we’ve made.
Thanks for them all Papi,
Your singing’s good fun.
Continue that spirit,
That style that is you.

A Theorem of You

*dedicated to my 3rd year HS Geometry teacher*

So fussy with circles,
Perfecting each one.
Sir Duke 'Bernz' Bernardo,
A second and third year Math teacher.

Needing some coffee in the morning,
While listening to some iTunes.
Full of powerpoints for lectures,
With just a push of a button.
Recycled as they are,
They’re easily understood.

With hidden passions,
For that kicking sport of soccer.
Spending time solving puzzles,
Sudoku easy and hard.

Studying Geometry under you,
‘Proving’ was my kind of topic.
Truly, I’ve learned to enjoy it,
Definitely the best of the bunch.
A theorem of you
I present to you now.
Sir Bernz is great fun,
When you know how to make him smile.

Enjoyable Sessions

*dedicated to my 3rd year HS Filipino teacher*

Speaking fluent Filipino,
Sir Salvador 'Bigs' Biglaen.
Third year Filipino teacher,
Tackling Jose Rizal’s works.

Started out as a substitute,
Now a full-fledged teacher.
Anecdotes here and there,
Even silly antics in and out the classroom.
A gifted writer and artist,
With a weird sense of humor.

Always hyper in the morning,
Talking just like Sir Dennis.
With a method like yours,
I simply just grin.

Injecting some fun into the lessons,
Is a gift I’m thankful for.
Enjoyable sessions,
Making me laugh each time.
Going crazy in the corridors,
Or simply cooling yourself down.
Having you as a friend,
Is just such great fun.

Unexpected Antics

*dedicated to my 3rd year World History teacher*

Standing tall,
Dressing in style.
World history teacher,
Ms. Rosa Bianca Culla.

Used to teach us exercises,
Ending up making us laugh.
Lectures of culture,
Development and of battles.
Meeting important people,
Of religious or royal blood.

Teaching an interesting subject,
I can’t help but do good.
Your lectures pique my attention,
Especially with all those jokes.

Nearly the end of the year,
I’m glad we’ve become good friends.
Despite your braces,
And your inability at volleyball.
Personality-wise,
You’re great fun to be around.
With all unexpected antics,
Your classes turn out good.

Mindful Advice

*dedicated to my 3rd year HS English teacher (2)*

An MCHS alumni,
Ms. Lalaine 'Lin' Castillo.
Third year English teacher,
Great fun to have around.

Replaced Sir Antiquera,
When 2nd quarter came.

And the all-out truth.
Constructive criticism,
Is what she gives.

Hanging out with other English teachers,
Finding fun in volleyball.
Living in Prince David,
And an AI fan.
Having found a common interest,
I look forward to future conversations.
With such hilarious antics,
It’s impossible not to laugh.

Ruling the costume contests,
Sir France Antiquera.
Once my English teacher,
Now the English SAC.

Playing volleyball for kicks,
A bandana around his head.

Like ‘Word of the Day’ and ‘Free Talk’.
Giving one opportunities,
To express oneself in the English language.

Having time for fun,
Spending some good laughs.
Kind and courteous,
A real gentleman.

A fellow reader,
Always up for picture taking.
A hit at fashion shows,
Truly an admirable candidate.
Open to ideas,
Once Banaag’s moderator.
In such a versatility,
I find an unforgettable friend.

Silly Wisecracks

*dedicated to my 3rd year HS CL teacher (2)*

Having starting 3rd quarter,
Sir Modesto 'Dhoi' Javier II.
Current CL teacher,
A man in a bundle of laughs.

With a lot of stories,
Each one either dull, funny or both.
Truly a listener,
Even more of a talker.
Progressive in class,
Finding ways of motivation.

Having come from the seminary,
Just like most CL teachers.
He brings with him,
An air of Christ.

Maybe not an instrumentalist,
But more of a vocalist.
Teasing fun on the volleyball court,
When spiking and setting.
Great fun it is,
Having befriended you.
Your silly wisecracks,
All but make me laugh.

Appreciating Music

*dedicated to my 3rd year HS Music teacher*

A Music teacher,
Ms. Josephine Trajeco.

Perfect for teaching.

With each passing meeting,
A new lesson introduced.
With written and aural tests,
To help us students learn.
Integrating other songs for example,
To distinguish majors from minors.

Patient as you are,
Fair to all.
Doing rounds of recitation,
To get everyone involved.

Now singing for prayer,
Two songs represented.
Tackling new lessons,
Of triads and key signatures.
Appreciating music,
Is an art one must develop.
So thank you,
For making me do so today.

Devoted to Service

*dedicated to my 3rd year HS Guidance counselor*

Despite losing a husband,
Mrs. Lourdes Abaño.
Guidance Counselor,
Helping out in career choices.

Devoted to service,
Patient with a ruckus.
Lending a helping hand continuously,
To helping each and every one.
Encouraging and optimistic,
This kind woman is.

By far, for her age,
She’s made many smile.
And I cannot deny it,
That I’m one of those many.

Chatting about test results,
Figuring out what we are.
Looking at rubrics that explain,
To find what we are.
Through all these,
I’m wholeheartedly grateful.
If not for you,
We’d all be hanging.

Gratitude

*dedicated to my 3rd year HS Health teacher*

Learning Health once again,
Under Ms. Pamela 'Pam' Bacani.
An excellent teacher,
In the line of the subject.

Talking about the body,
About pregnancy and child care.
A subject worth learning,
An hour spent listening.
Proving points, giving lectures,
A special kind of teacher.

Encouraging and funny,
In or out of the classroom.
Always easy to talk to,
Very, very approachable.

Despite the shortcomings,
Things work out great.
Gratitude, I extend sincerely,
For all that you’ve taught so far.
Continue to enjoy teaching,
No matter what hardships.
Feel welcomed,
And speak out to the world.

Practicality

*dedicated to my 3rd year HS PE teacher*

First and third year PE teacher,
Ms. April Toledo.
The kicking sport of futsal,
Introduced in this final quarter.

Using a lapel mic,
You get our attention.
Teaching us what’s right,
What’s good and what’s wrong.
Giving tips for things,
Supervising every other thing.

Thinking up of games to play,
Reading assignments for better learning.
Understanding is key,
For a better lecture.

Making PE class so fun,
Despite with everybody else says.
The practicality of your lectures,
Make things easy to grasp.
Your friendship,
I will truly treasure.
Now that the school year’s ending,
With barely a month to go.

Idle Chats

*dedicated to my 3rd year HS THE teacher*

Heading into the last quarter,
With a topic of Interior Design.
Sir Sean 'Basti' Sebastian,
Third year THE teacher.

Introducing color schemes,
Elements and styles of design.
All for designing different rooms,
Coloring in templates for exercises.
Designing on the internet,
Aided by the BHG site.

A true basketball player,
Forgetting about volleyball.
A well-rounded teacher,
Equals a good friend to talk with.

Idle chats,
Though they’re only that.
Having them with this teacher,
Is more than amusing.
Having learned so much from you,
I thank you for your patience.
Aside from that,
I’ll just enjoy our happy moments.

Most Unforgettable

*dedicated to my two facilitators during the CCS Summer Camp*

April 23-28, 2007,
The most unforgettable week of my life.
But who better to spend it with,
Than with one such as you?

Being part of the Pink Team,
Meeting up with such great company.
Even more worthwhile the time,
With facilitators like you.
My thanks to you both,
Ate Ivy and Kuya Carl.

For this week was the best,
And will not soon be forgotten.
With Cara, Gemi, Oliver and Nico,
Kristina, Jin, Neil and Andre, too.
All of you brought smiles to my face,
Some of them captured in photographs.

Our sole remembrance of each other,
Is one we'll carry out for the rest of our lives.
I'll see you all in a year's time,
Or sooner if you'd prefer it.
Either way, we WILL see each other,
Bet your life on that.

Wordles forever,
Favorite game played.
Pink Team '07,
Forever HUMBLE.

Ultimate Dream

Being just within reach,
Is what defines an 'ultimate dream'.
Our ideal utopia,
The grandest fruit of our labor.
A dream nevertheless,
Requiring an equal exchange.
Surpassing all time,
Working for just another step.
A journey, our life truly is,
An everlasting staircase.

Falling is natural,
Getting up is a challenge.
Determination, your ally.
Doubt, your enemy.
Cast away all self-doubt,
For the end to be in sight.

Value of Honesty

*a poem created for English Writing Task*

An honest act,
Is one of self-responsibility.
With temptation lies doubt,
A sure disposition.

Time for tests,
Keeping eyes on your own.
When discussing issues,
By all means, share opinions.
A lost item, you found,
Surrender it; be selfless.

For we are all affected,
By this value of honesty.
Each day we exercise it,
To make it THE best policy.

Proud Thewlisian

*dedicated to my good friend Amanda*

A dream of many,
Realized by Mandy.
One proud Thewlisian,
A cut above the rest.
Thewlis Rox's creator,
Devoted through and through.
An inspiration to others,
A most wonderful friend.
Given the chance to meet sweet David,
Along with Anna and Gracie.
Proud are we all,
Knowing one such as you.
Kudos and thanks,
Dear Amanda.
Fellow Thewlisian,
Always the lucky one.

Sir Florante 'Bong' Bellardo,
Truly a gratifying friend.

A warm and caring heart,
With intellect beyond all else.
One to thank so much,
For the existence of my treasured Samba Club.
Two quarters have passed,
Spent under his LAP sessions.
May your trip enlighten you,
And never forget we care.

Now sharing common interests,
Learned so much in little time.
Thank you most dearly, Sir Bong,
For all the laughs and the knowledge.

A frienship forged well,
Despite the short encounters.
Treasure everything most dearly,
Regret nothing and appreciate simplicity.
So until the next time we meet again,
Hope you like this, and talk to you soon.

Sweet Dispositions

*dedicated to my 4th year HS Homeroom/Filipino teacher*

Spent nearly 10 months,
With two roles to play.

Encouraging as always,
Ever rarely getting angry.

Always worried but cool.
Giving good advice,
Supportive 'til the end.

A long story yet to unfold.
Spent summarizing several chapters,
With some stories of your own.

With a bond established between us.
As I go off, I bid you my thanks,
For everything you've given me.
On this day of dear teachers,
You are deserving praise.
I hope to see this still with you,
After years have gone past.

Driving in style with his Picanto,
A lot of books in hand.

As well as all the opportunities.
Always stay cheerful,
With that unforgettable grin that is you.

Snide Remarks

*dedicated to my 4th year HS Trigonometry teacher*

Trigonometry teacher,
Sir Jay Ford 'Jay' Flores.
Friends with my cousin,
As well as with me.

Going through lessons fast-paced,
With seatworks to give.
Never failing to comment,
Give out a joke or two.
Now into logarithms,
Marking the last grading period.

Always stating snide remarks,
Especially with my stuffed animals.
Calling my owl a penguin,
My penguin a shark.

Behind the scenes,
A truly fun teacher to talk to.
Offering advice so casually,
Not afraid to speak the truth.
I thank you for the fun moments,
For the times of good fun.
For these final moments of advice,
For my journey to college.

Stay Giddy

*dedicated to my 4th year CL teacher*

Teaching Christian Morality,
Sir Larry Abreño.
So fun and entertaining,

Despite limited time.
Explains things so thoroughly,
Making sure it's understood.

Using the OHP,
Bring the message across.

So always stay giddy.

A driving English teacher,
Ms. Florene Anne Lakip.
A new one to join the ranks,
Suiting me just fine.

Overall, a wacky personality,
With moves across the dance floor.
Often cheerful and sarcastic,
Throwing peace signs along the corridors.
Strict much on deadlines,
Yet still able to crack a joke.

Six ARPS now accomplished,
Both the draft and final manuscript passed.
Onto the debating,
The final culminating task of the year.

Most memorable for the HSM role,
Of rocking out a Skater Dudette.
Despite her being new,
I'm glad we've become friends.
After watching 'Finding Forrester',
Inspired to continue writing.
Thanks for everything,
And all the fun moments.

Even of how to tell its authenticity.
Eventually getting me interested,
In learning all these things.

Playing some tunes.
Produced such wonderful outputs,
Causing us to applaud.

From logos to packaging,
Leading up to creating our own product.
After an exhibit,
It was time to present to the panel.

All leading up to now,
Learned much more about teamwork.
Aided me and my Team Brothas,
To produce Segregador.
All thanks to you,
We managed the time given.
All because of that,
We came out on top.
